Had my entire friendship group in shadow form having a party in my room at one point

There were girls kissing on my bed

People walking around, and I was hallucinating feeling them touch my neck

I'd close my eyes and open them again and when I looked at objects in my room they'd transform into people and start walking towards me and I'd keep having to turn on the lights to make them go away but when I turned them off again they'd just come back and it was impossible to sleep

Then when I eventually did get to sleep I'd have this same really intense dream that felt like it lasted for hours but it'd only be 20 minutes and I'd wake up feeling even more exhausted after that, that repeated itself at least 4 times

I get those in the mornings when I end up falling back asleep currently, something to do with drugs I'm sure, they never used to happen

It tends to be a lot cooler in the north generally anyway, if you come in "winter" it'd only be around 25C~ in the northern provinces.

If you enjoy that sort of thing great, but for me it kind of feels like 'seen one seen them all' especially once you've seen places like wat pho. Nothing really tops it. Chaing mai is alri, the best thing about going away from it imo is going places foreigners don't go, experiencing the real country places and having mad encounters with people who find you to be a complete oddity.

Oh absolutely agree with you there and its what I do my best for every time I travel. Always stay in local areas rather than hotels etc.

Shared a flat with 3 mainland Chinese when I was in HK and aside from them being hilarious lads, I really got to see a lot of the underbelly of the city and a few hidden gems.

I generally avoid other tourists everywhere I go.
